Who are we...?

We all see the creatures behind bars. The Rhinos sitting down in their pen, the lions napping by the gates or on a rock. The sweet little Wolverine hiding from everyone, then coming out when the time is right. We think that they will live a long time and we love to go see them. Have our kids look at the animals around the world. But while we take care of them at our zoos...how are the others who are back home?
Within Africa there are a ton of animals that we all know. From the lions to the elephants. To the rhinos and the giraffes. Most of the animals that we hear of had originated there. The tigers and monkeys that cause trouble, are from the rain forest and jungle like places. Like the family favorite, The Jungle Book showing how we can all be together and live as one without hurting each other. That we are all misunderstood. But in a world like ours....that will never happen.
Poaching has traditionally been defined as the illegal hunting or capturing of wild animals, usually associated with land use rights. For years, elephants and Rhinos have been poached for their tusks and horns. Rhinos are loosing their populations and Elephants not to far behind. These loving creatures were once hunted because they were thought to be horrible creatures. But nowadays people see them as loving and caring.
But while they are killed and their only protection is stolen, the people here don't care. They just keep wanting more.
They say that these animals will live a long time and long lives, but they don't. And while people base that off of the ones at the zoo, they don't live very long either. Studies show that an animal in captivity doesn't last very long. Conditions could be worse or they can get diseases from people or other animals. We have seen these creatures die. But the more we want something that they have, another life is lost.
A baby without its mother, a rhino's face shredded to pieces because of  money. Not the lives of these beings who were here before us surviving. The world has changed so many times and yet we still continue to hurt the lives of these creatures.
Within the show ZOO, the animals fight back at the humans for all the pain and suffering they have been going through. Granted it started by humans giving them medicine and such, but either way they fought back. I wish these animals would fightback and I would love to see their populations continue to rise. Because so many of them are dwindling that all we will remember them by is a fur coat or a print on our clothing. Or even a rug on the ground that no one can step on because it was so expensive, then why by the damn thing in the first place.
These creatures are being hunted down and murdered everyday. We as people get mad when someone is murdered.....usually....and we want to see justice. Whats the difference in these animals. They were on this earth before us. Why kill off the greatest creatures that we have seen.
These people that kill them cant get away with all this death. These animals deserve love. Like if they were a stuffed animal that we had as a child and all we loved was them and sugar.
These creatures have a life and they dont deserve to loose it. And they dont have to. With everyone acting as one we can stop these deaths and saving the animals before they are all lost.
If you look to see the animals that are endangered and many who are on their way to extinction, you will see that many of them dont have time left.
