A Life for A Life

The second amendment, most of us know it as the right to bear arms, or the right to own and have guns. But that has caused some issues as the more and more shootings have happened. The latest in the events is the Florida shooting. As time people move on, but after the shootings, survivors and the victims families had protests and press conferences stating that the  amount of these shootings needs to stop. But the majority of the shootings happening are with an automatic guns, however back then, they didn't have anything like that. So they never imagined that anything like this would happen. Nor I doubt they would ever want to. Especially with all the shootings in general. Las Vegas, Kentucky, and now Florida. I dont ever think they ever wanted this at all. But people in general think that the founding fathers wanted all this, but they never did. You can totally disagree with me on this stuff, but they honestly didn't care for this stuff. when they wrote the constitution and t...

How to feel your heart breaking....

For 3 years and 2 maybe 3 weeks I had been with a great guy. We loved each other and we cared for each other and were there when we needed each other. But right after Thanksgiving we broke up. Just because I didn't have time. It took days to just stop crying, but Im still not over him and it hurts. I haven't been the same ever since. I would feel my life just slipping away and feel all the pain and heartbreak he gave me. And i barely knew why till weeks later. I still talk to him here and there sure, but only because we have the same friends and I dont want to leave them or have them not be friends with him anymore. Plus we have all had good memories together. But He wished me a happy birthday and told me all of this stuff about him nowadays, then we still talk, then I let him know that I cant have a life like he does. I have a job and school. I dont have time to live life. I never could. I never went on a Senior trip. I tried to enjoy life and live under all my parents rules,...

How we see the world....

How is the world to us today? How do we see it? We all look at it differently. I see it as an issue. A pain and hurt filling the world. From constant wars to painful faces. To accusations that are made just because we are scared. That is how I see the world. But I also see hope and love within the future. How do you see it? For years several people have seen things and accused things. WWII. A big hurt within the world. One that people will remember and talk about for years in the future and to come. The real hurt started when the attack on Pearl Harbor. The many lives lost. Americans were hurt by Japanese and after the attack. People treated the Japanese-Americans like they were dirt. After that is when the Americans really got involved with the war and the Holocaust. Where more people hurt others. The Jewish were hurt and killed and suffered pain and some humiliation. After that. The next big issue in peoples history was 9/11. The plane that the world trade center and the pentagon...

The Future

Where do we see ourselves in 5 years? A question that has come up more then once in some of our lives. For some we know what we want right away. For others we need to think about it. Like if we want to take that cruise vacation, or strive to get a great promotion. Maybe even start a family. These are like things on our bucket list. But what do we really want? I know for me my parents were cautious about bringing my sisters into this world after 9/11 (I had already been born so it was a little late to worry about bringing me in the world). I would want all of this fighting and corruptness to stop everywhere. Not just in america. Would I love to get some things off of my bucket list...sure. Meet the one, get married, have a family, travel. I would love to go on a high roller coaster and try to get over my fear of heights. But somethings people put on hold cause the world and others came first. I know a few people who have been hurt by someone or something and then go around the wor...

How?

How do we get over it? For some it can mean different things, like how do you get over the death of a family member or the betrayal of a loved one. For me and several others, it is a broken heart. It hits you like a battering ram and takes sometime to get over, if it ever does. For me it was just the other night. Three years and just like that we were over. I spent the entire night crying and barely got any sleep. But how do we get over this. To be honest we think that they will come crawling back or if we apologize they will forgive us...but no. Those will only hurt us even more in the end. I got to thinking a lot about today and how things are. Im now single and can more or less do almost anything I want and dont have to worry about hurting the loved one. And while the times may have been good with them, the future and moving forward is more important.

Whats the Truth?

Media and Politics. More or less run our lives even if we dont see it. Politics are running around trying to get people to cote for them so they can do what they believe is right for the country then do the complete opposite or start something. The Media tells stories and while they are true here and there, they do stretch the truth quit a bit. It can bring more harm then good to people. When they stretch the truth it gives them the ability to both lie but still tell the truth. It gives them more ratings and more praise.  Same for Politics. They say what you want them to hear, but then do something else or doesn't meet our criteria of what we wanted so we get mad at them. Happens every year and every term. That's normal.  But do we ever blame ourselves or find ourselves an issue? Ask yourself this....If we didn't try to get all these problems done at once, would we be in this situation? If you think about it... not really. As people we normally think of ourselves and o...

Privileged? Citizenship?

1960's- A time a lot of people may have remembered. From the Civil war on equality to the assassinations on JFK and MLK. But another thing people may remember is all of the different changes going on and how devastating it was. And while it wasnt as bad as the Great depression or WWII, it still hurt people here and there. MLK was known for fighting for the rights for African Americans. His speeches were incredible and have been known for the fact that they spoke what people were feeling. But over 50 years later, we are still having issues in general, and not just with African Americans. Privilege-  A term that many people take for granite.    Back then White men were to opposition of everything. They were the "rulers" of that common era in the world. But as the years go forward we still see some of them act that same way.  They act like they deserve more then anyone else. And not all white men and women are like this, i would know since I am a white woman. Bu...
